Tier 5 Visa - Youth Mobility Scheme (YMS)

The Youth Mobility Scheme (YMS) is a kind of cultural exchange program which has been developed for creating reciprocal opportunities for youth mobility for young people who are participating from different countries. Candidates can live and experience the life of UK until the visa expires, the duration of visa is two years.

Eligibility

The applicants from the non EC countries need to make sure that their countries have accepted the responsibility of their nationals participating in this program.

General Requirements

• Candidates need to have a genuine visa for the participating country.
• Need to be between the age group of 18 and 30.
• Need to have sufficient funds to determine their financial credibility.

1000 places in UK are allocated for each participating country.

Specific Requirements

• Candidates need to pass the points based assessment on various requirements laid down by the issuing authority.
• Sponsorship – Maximum points for a valid passport of a country that is with Deemed Sponsorship
• Age – between 18 and 30
• Maintenance – need to show that you have at least £1600 and that you can also support yourself while in UK.
