Features of this visa

• No age restrictions on this type of Australian immigration visa
• Able to work in Australia
• The balance of family test has to be met by the applicant and the spouse. They need to have more or the same number of children in Australia, when compared to their children in their own country. The Australia De Facto visa can be used by unmarried couples, with or without children.
• Contribution to be paid to DIMIA is AUS$31,555 per adult and AUS$1,365 per dependent under 18 years of age
• 10 year refundable bond has to be paid which is AUS$10,000 for the principal applicant and AUS$4,000 for the accompanying parent visa applicant

The applicant must fulfill following conditions:

• Sponsored by a settled Australian citizen or permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen
• Related to a sponsor as a parent
• Applicant must have an assurer

Assurer must meet these requirements

• The assurer needs to be a permanent resident or eligible subject of New Zealand or an Australian citizen. The assurer need not be a relative of the visa applicant
• Must meet certain financial criteria
