Visa to USA

Visa to USA

How to get visa to USA :

In order to get a visa to USA it's necessary to provide sufficient information on your application; for this reason it can be helpful to get an expert immigration consultant to give you a hand.

However, in addition to the application itself, the US has very strict guidelines about the photos it will accept for any visa to USA.

Requirements for Visa to USA :

Some types of visa require a digital photograph whilst others must be supplied with a physical copy. But regardless of which type of photograph you have been asked to provide, there are a number of conditions which must be met.

To start with, the photo must be taken against either a white or off-white plain background. This rule applies for pictures of babies and toddlers too.

The photo taken for USA visa should be full face and straight on to the camera, side angles will be rejected. The face and hairline must be fully visible; hats or headwear are not acceptable unless worn every day for religious reasons. The full face must be on show in the photograph and any headwear must not cast a shadow.

You might prefer to send in a picture of you smiling for your visa to USA, but just like a passport, the facial expression must be neutral with the eyes open and looking directly at the camera.

It is acceptable to wear your glasses or hearing aid for your photo for your visa to USA, but sunglasses or tinted lenses are not permitted. There must also not be any glare on the glasses in the picture; taking the photo without a flash or angling the glasses down slightly can help to prevent this.

In addition to a photograph, you will also be required to allow your fingerprints to be taken. If you are not willing to consent to this, your visa to USA application will be automatically rejected as incomplete.

US legislation requires that only “machine-readable, tamper-resistant visas” are issued which in addition must include biometric identifiers i.e./fingerprints.

Your prints will be taken during your interview at the embassy or consulate and it is now an entirely ink-free process. All of your hand digits must be printed; this information will be stored and made available to immigration officials at US ports of entry into the country.

The US believes that by including biometrics in their visa program, they are encouraging a 'secure borders, open doors' approach which ensures individuals can freely visit the country without jeopardizing security.
