How to avoid scammers in USA

scammers in USA

When looking to relocate you are looking at the unknown, it can be extremely daunting and you may be very confused to know where to turn for advice and guidance. When looking into migrating the United States there are many agencies and companies who’s sole purpose is to guide you through the migration process from the initial visa application right through to the end. The problem is, many of these agencies are not genuine, official or authorized and are actually illegal with their services being dubbed a scam.

Some do indeed have good intentions, others are simply there to rip you off. Either way they need avoiding at all costs before you end up in a dire situation. Many cowboy agencies will take an extortionate fee from your self with many empty promises of what they will do on your behalf, the truth is that all they will do is take your money and you may never hear from them again. This will obvious delay your application process greatly as well as costing you unnecessary amounts and could even lead to removal proceedings in a US court of law.

Only a recognized law firm or accredited representative who actively work for the US Board of Immigration can give you advice on any part of the visa or migration process. It is important to remember the motto that ‘The Wrong Help Can Hurt’. Media on immigration comes in many forms, the internet, magazines, newspapers, forums, radios and street advertisements with supposid authoritative agencies who will guide you through the process and take your stresses and strain away, but remember this - The official US Immigration Authorities would never advertise in this way.

Most ‘scammer’s will use unorthodox methods which would never be used by the correct authorities such as requesting your personal information - things like your Passport number, your NHS number (for English migrants), your tax code, Social security number and more. Scammers will falsify issues with your application and demand fee’s to make amends. They will also try to make contact with you, or request contact, through the phone and they will then ask for things like your credit or debit card details to process your claim. The official Immigration of America never ask or indeed accept any payments over the phone. If you think you have been scammed it is important to inform the correct authorities.
