UN calls on nations for safe migration
Ban Ki-moon, United Nations Secretary-General, has formally asked all the nations to come together to meet the common goal of creating safe and regular migration for the immigrants to prove that the nations support and guard the human rights of the immigrants irrespective of their status of migration.

Reminding that one in thirty people is an immigrant, UN Secretary-General said that if migration is properly managed, then it will benefit the community, otherwise there is a loss to the community.

He emphasized the significance of safeguarding the immigrants from bias, protecting the rights of the migrant workers and also protecting them against any exploitation

Ban Ki-moon said that he is worried about the detention of the immigrants by the administration in particular because such detentions are likely to cause a negative impact on the rights of the immigrants.

He said that by using common sense, kindness and the political will, international migration can be well managed in a balanced, complete and a clear way. The significant links between the development of the national and the international policies and migration has to be integrated, according to him.
