Due to changes to the UK Immigration Process set to be launched in 2014 where those from Bulgaria and Romania will gain unrestricted access to the UK has set much in the form of heated debates from politicians and members of the public across the country. It is expected that nearly 30 million Romanians and Bulgarians will automatically be entitled to reside and work in the United Kingdom unrestricted from next year.

The UK Government as not spoken of how many migrants from the above countries are expected to enter the country though it is predicted it will be in the excess of 20,000 migrants will be coming to join the already 600,000 Romanians and Bulgarians that are already in the UK. The Director of Migration Watch UK,  has confirmed that Britain has taken far more eastern European immigrants than any other country worldwide and he has called for a delay or stop to  lifting of restrictions.

Due to the recent recession unemployment in the United Kingdom is significantly higher than in previous years and fears are that the jobs that are going will not be taken by UK citizens but by the due influx of Migrant workers which will leave the unemployment rate as it is or even worse with many migrants entering the country to no employment. This is said to be a huge drain on resources for the tax paying United Kingdom citizen who will be footing the bill for the Governments elaborate plans.

In 2004 the same adaptation was made for citizens of Poland and this saw an incredible 400,000 Polish Migrants enter the UK who were able to live, work and claim benefits even for dependants they left back in their native land. This caused uproar throughout the United Kingdom and many political talks took place to justify the decision made with the impact it had caused many people in the UK. Now, a decade on the same decision has been made with our economy little better than it was and unemployment still a huge factor in the country.

A UK newspaper, The Sunday Telegraph has performed an investigation to publicly reveal that their are many loopholes in our society which has allowed over 50,000 European Migrants to obtain employment in occupations which they should not have been allowed by simply declaring themselves as Self Employed. The occupations include catering staff, taxi drivers and even lap dancers.
