The UK Immigration Bill which is currently being debated in the UK parliament is expected to crack down on illegal immigrants and foreign prisoners – cutting their right to appeal. Illegal immigrants will also be unable to open bank accounts and employers of these groups of people will have heavier penalties. Access to private rentals and driving licenses will also be restricted.

These categories of immigrants currently have 17 reasons why they may be eligible for appeal. However, this is expected to be cut to just four. Overseas students will also be affected by the new rules which will mean that they will need to pay a levy to have access to NHS healthcare.
The rules have been criticised as unworkable by Liberty groups
