UK Government will Strongly Attract Indian Students Post-Brexit
For many years, Indians were in second place in the most significant global student population in UK, next to China. Though, there has been a slight drop in the students choosing for the UK in current years after stringent student immigration laws were launched in the year 2011. This figure dropped by nearly 30 percent between the years 2013 and 2017. Br-exit hasn't improved either as the UK was swiftly the fourth choice, dropping from being the second most preferable place of destination for students of India.

UK Plans to Improve Global Student Enrollments

Analyzing the above statistics, the government of the UK currently launched post-study visa possibilities as part of the latest Global Education Strategy. This strategy is focused on improving the enrollments of global students in universities of the UK from 460,000 to 600,000 every year by 2030. It will provide students with the opportunity to live in the UK on a work visa for a tenure of 6 months after completing graduation.

In an attempt to attract students from India, Universities in the  UK are hiring more abroad students. As per the latest report by the Times, Glasgow University is also likely to boost its mixture of abroad students to make up 50 percent of the entire admissions Meanwhile University College London (U.C.L) will even up the international intake to 50 percent and lessen its domestic enrollments.

Hema Ramachandran, Sheffield Hallam University who is a Country Adviser reveals how the university's novel course offerings are engaging for students especially from South Asia. She states: The students' number opting to study at Sheffield Hallam University from the region of South Asia has been on a constant increase. In extension to the government of UK new policy to grant work visas, our university offers a unique proposal for students to work for a tenure of one year in the UK by choosing for sandwich courses.
