Tremendous-Rise-in-the-applicants-of-O-visa
Washington: One of the top American Senate members stated today that the prospective applicants of H1B are advised to apply for an O-Visa rather than numerically capped H1B Visas. H1B Visas are proposed for highly skilled workers so as to evade the legal restrictions on job Visas.

O Visa's are basically proposed for those people who have extraordinary skills or possess some extraordinary achievements, while the H1B visa is for foreign guest workers with high skilled capabilities.

As per the reports, O Visa doesn't have any kind of numeric cap as compared to the other visa categories. The report also mentions that the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee – Mr. Chuck Grassley claims that since the last decade the number of Visa has increased to more than three times. The report also claims that a letter by Senator Chuck Grassley to Homeland security Secretary Mr. John Kelly states that “ A rise in a number of O Visa as compared to H1B visa would affect the future honor of both Visa programs.

As per Mr. Grassley, O Visas are not a substitute of H1B Visas and any person getting through the  O Visa by trying to deceivingly fulfill the extraordinary requirements because the person is unable to obtain an H1B visa will come under the frame of visa fraud and ultimately damage the integrity of both the Visa programs.

O visa, in particular, is offered to foreign workers who have exceptional skills in the field of education, science, arts, athletics, and business or the person is having some extraordinary achievement.

Irrespective of the rareness found under such category like “exceptional Qualification” the issuance of O visa has increased to three times more in the decade. In 2006, the number of issuance of O Visa was just 30,000, whereas it has been increased to 1,00,000 in 2016.

Reports also state that as the validity period of O Visas is of three years, currently there are up to 3,00,000 workers that are working in the United States.
