Sydney's Macquarie University offers international
The Macquarie University has opened invitations for the Vice-Chancellors International Scholarship.  The ‘Postgraduate Indian Women’s Scholarship’ is aimed at Indian female students who meet the academic requirements for the course and are not already citizens of Australia or New Zealand.

Partial tuition fees are provided by the sponsorship to enable high performers to study at the University in the fields of engineering, the environment, linguistics, media and education. No living costs are provided nor support towards visa processes, air travel, housing or health cover.  Other than the partial tuition support, which can be up to AUD$11,000, the University does not offer any other financial support or contribution.

Applicants must be a female Indian citizen and meet the English language and academic course requirements. Their undergraduate degree must be at least a 60% grade achievement. Applicants must apply for a course which is more than one session long and be full-time study. There are further criteria for eligibility including not already being a student so further investigation should be undertaken on the entire criteria. The application process starts with an online application. Students will be responsible for obtaining their own student visa for Australia and any related costs so a full understanding of the Australian immigration process will be needed.

The Macquarie University is a public research university based in Sydney, Australia. It was founded in 1964 and is the third University in Sydney. It is known as a progressive and influential institution, locally and internationally. It has 40,000 students and 2000 staff on campus. The facilities and infrastructure have recently been upgraded with  AU$1 billion investment which focused on state of the art digital technologies as well as a private hospital onsite, a sports and aquatic center and an on-campus railway station. Degrees are designed working alongside industry and professional bodies to aid career development and additional careers support is available.

The institution is among the top 100 in the world for accounting and finance, cultural and media, education, language and literature, linguistics and psychology, communication and earth and marine sciences.
