Facts-about-Immigrant-Entrepreneurs-in-the-USA
The US administration had made an announcement that it would withdraw the rule meant for International Entrepreneurs. This has worried the overseas nationals who intended to pursue business activities in the US. The White House issued a press release affirming the commitment to entrepreneurship, but an uncertainty remains. Moreover, obtaining a skilled visa is becoming difficult presently.

There are a few legal options for international entrepreneurs in the USA.

Greg Siskind, Immigration Attorney said that “There is enough evidence to prove that companies founded by immigrants are an influential force in creating jobs in the economy of US.  There is no specific visa aimed at start-up founders to create and manage their business.”

There is a finding of the Kauffman Foundation that Immigrants have twice as much capacity than the locals, to become good entrepreneurs. The National Foundation for American Policy conducted a study in 2016 and concluded that the Immigrants had started 44 (from 87) start-up companies in America and they were valued at $1 billion. The study mentioned renowned companies like SpaceX, Stripe, and Uber which had an immigrant founder.

Siskind also stated that founders of Start-up are affected and take a chance, on certain visas, which are not intended for creating a thriving business, and also they are not available easily. This leads to delay in their entrepreneurial aims for a few years and they wait for green cards. Moreover, they are forced to work for other employers.

Immigrant entrepreneurs can start a business when they are sponsored, either by an employer or by a family member. There are several examples when Immigrant entrepreneurs wait for years to get the green card and gain authorization to work and PR Status. Such stories can become realities at a faster pace when there is a fast track system or encouragement of start-up.
