Steady surge in Indian students count in Australia
The latest overseas student information announced by the Trade Commission of Australia has noted that around 13,730 Indian candidates have enrolled in the renowned colleges of the country during 2014. Reportedly the country has seen a steady surge of 10,168 compared to previous year.  Few of the concerned sources of the country state that India students have formed a third largest cohort of international students.

During the year 2012, Indian candidates were the fourth largest cohort, and now the count of the Indian students’ enrollment is rising steadily. They further added that rapid surge of nearly 3,562 students in just one year is mainly due to the attractive career and employment opportunities offered by their universities.  A recent study of the country revealed that, in the year 2014 around 7,200 Indian students (52%) have undergone their management and commerce education. This study also reveals that more Indian students prefer Australia as their dream destination to undertake higher studies.

Moreover, nearly 33% of Indian candidates have enrolled in Vocational Education and Training programs and around 51% in higher education courses in 2014. Sources of the country also state that overseas students have added 16.6 billion dollars to country’s economy and 5.8 billion dollars to New South Wales economy. One of the well-known CEO of Business Events Sydney, Lyn Lewis Smith, noted that India has a very strong education system. Few of the brightest minds visit Australia to explore their skills and to broaden their horizons. When the Indian students complete their higher education  in Australia and go back to their native country, they become as Australia's ambassadors. With respect to which Indians come back to Australia to revisit the social and cultural ties that they have established during their college years. A concerned representative of the country further added that Indian students play a key role in enhancing its economy and tourism sector.
