Saskatchewan Opens Canada Express Entry
Good news for all overseas skilled professionals planning to settle in Canada permanently. Saskatchewan, one of the well-known provinces of Canada has opened its Express Entry system to expedite the Canadian immigration under SINP (Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program).

Under this special category SINP nominates skilled applicants in the EE pool, who possess a valid skilled work experience, education, language proficiency and other factors that support them to successfully settle and establish in the vibrant culture communities and labor market of Saskatchewan.

The successful nomination made under this special category result in the allocation of 600 points under the CRS and an ITA (invitation to apply) at each successive draw from the EE pool.

Saskatchewan is one of the most popular and economically stable provinces in Canada. All the successfully selected potential applicants as well as their family members will obtain the Canadian PR, and the existing government of Canada has all set to process the requests within the short duration of six months or less, after the complete submission of application at the federal stage.

As the prospective individuals are designated by the province from EE pool, all the professional applicants are suggested to be eligible for one of the federal skilled economic immigration programs:
  • Federal Skilled Worker Program
  • Federal Skilled Trades Program
  • Canadian Experience Class

Furthermore, all the prospective individuals are requested to score a minimum of 60 points in the point evaluation grid of SINP. Points are awarded based on the credentials which he or she possesses such as:
  • Language ability
  • Education and Training
  • Age
  • Skilled work experience
  • Major associations to the labor market of Saskatchewan
  • High skilled job offer at NOC skill level 0, A or B or a chosen trade in Saskatchewan

In addition to this, a prospective applicant must also be able to demonstrate their language proficiency in English/French to enter the EE pool. Moreover, he or she must have completed their one year post-secondary training or education that has resulted in the diploma, degree or the degree comparable to the certificate of trade that is equivalent to the nation’s education system, as confirmed by an Educational Credential Assessment.

A potential individual must also show their relevant work experience associated with their stream of education or training. This work experience can be either:
  • Minimum one year of relevant work experience in last ten years in the skilled profession ( non-trades) or
  • A two years of work experience as a skilled trade in previous five years or
  • A skilled work experience of one year in the last three years either in trades or non-trades. This work experience has to be in the highly skilled professions such as NOC “0”, “A” or “B”, which are estimated to be in-demand in the Canadian province
