
A sum of 381 invitations was announced: 277 to applicants with an Expression of Interest (E.O.I) profile in the Saskatchewan province’s sub-category of Occupation In-Demand, and remaining 104 invitations went to those with an Expression of Interest (E.O.I) profile in the sub-category of Express Entry.
The Immigrant Nominee Program of Saskatchewan, or S.I.N.P., evaluates the qualification of highly skilled workers for these sub-categories of immigration on a points basis.
Applicants must score a minimum of 60 points for parameters such as education, skilled work experience, and skill in the languages of French or English, along with others, to be eligible. They need to have full-time work experience in one of the listed 19 professions as in-demand Occupations of Saskatchewan.
The S.I.N.P’s sub-category of Express Entry is associated with the Canadian Express Entry, which is the main pathway to Canada PR for skilled international workers.
To be considered for a Saskatchewan nomination, Express Entry applicants need to enroll a separate E.O.I profile with the S.I.N.P.
An Expression of Interest profile describes a candidate’s education, skilled work experience, knowledge in French or English, with other factors, and applicants are given a score out of 100 points depends on the information presented.
The score given beneath the S.I.N.P’s category International Skilled Worker is separate from the Comprehensive Ranking System (C.R.S.) score that defines a applicants in the pool of Express Entry.
The sub-category Occupation In-Demand runs Express Entry system outside and is intended to bring in skilled foreign workers who work in businesses that are facing labor deficits in the Saskatchewan province.
Occupation In-Demand applicants must also enroll an EOI with the S.I.N.P. The top-scoring applicants in both the pools of Occupation In-Demand and Canadian Express Entry are announced invitations to appeal for a Saskatchewan provincial nomination through routine draws.
The cut-off C.R.S. scores in the 24 July 2019 draws for both sub-categories increased by 6 points over the prior draw on 20 June, from 68 points to 74 points.
Till date in 2019, the S.I.N.P. has announced 1,004 ITAs to Express Entry applicants and 1,473 invitations to candidates in Occupation In-Demand.
