Saskatchewan, Canada Express Entry program at full speed
The Canadian province Saskatchewan has opened its Express Entry program for another 500 applicants this month.  This is the third time in five months the fast track program for skilled workers and professionals has opened and closed.

The program is part of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) under the International Skilled Worker - Express Entry category.  This is a high demand route to Canadian Immigration and the quota is often reached within hours. To become an applicant candidate must be in the federal Express Entry pool ready to quickly submit an application when the program opens for applicants. Successful applicants with receive an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points and an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian Permanent Residence. The Permanent Residence (PR) application is the more long winded part of immigration to Canada but Express Entry candidates can benefit from the additional CRS points and faster process on the Express Entry route.

The Express Entry program is currently focused on 21 in demand occupations and has proven to be successful for both the Canadian province and the applicants. Applicants should ensure they research and meet the entry criteria and are prepared for the full application process and providing extensive documentation for immigration. This will include written work references and a detailed settlement plan. Those prepared to go through the process and who are eligible will experience a fast-tracked immigration program ready for a new life and career in Canada.

Eligibility requirements include meeting point requirements based on education and training, work experience, language ability and any relatives in the province. A language test will need to be taken and passed. Proof of settlement funds and a settlement plan will be required. Having a job offer from Canadian employer will also add valuable points to an immigration application but is not always essential.

The On-Demand Occupations List currently includes managers in a number of industries and professions, service directors, purchasing and property roles, mathematicians and IT professions, agricultural specialists, civil and mechanical engineers, mechanics, service technicians and a number of other occupations.

Saskatchewan is in West-Central Canada and borders on the USA to the south. It has an area of 251,700 square miles and a population of just over a million. Half of the population live in the largest cities of Saskatoon and Regina. Summers are hot and winters cold. Agriculture is a large proportion of the province’s economy with more recent growth in mining, oil and gas production, financial and service sectors.
