Quebec Skilled Worker Program

Ministry of Quebec Immigration has published details of an invitation round that took place on 4 September 2019 in which 32 applicants with an Arrima profile were received Invitations.

The invitations were given to the applicants who had a profile of Expression of Interest and also a valid employment offer, as well as global nationals working as consular officers, diplomats, or representatives of an intergovernmental body such as the United Nations in the province of Quebec.

The number of individuals invited declined significantly related to former draws. The draw held on 17 July, which had similar qualification requirements, provided 259 invitations to apply for Canada PR.

Quebec's Arrima System

Arrima was launched in the year 2018 to obtain Expression of Interest (EOI) profiles for the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (Q.S.W.P) and maintain its bank of candidates.

An EOI is not an appeal. It is a way for applicants to notify the Ministry of Quebec Immigration that they would prefer to be considered for a Certificate of Quebec Selection (CSQ).

A CSQ permits a candidate to apply for a PR in Quebec. Arrima replaced the former first-come-first-served path for allowing applications to the Program of Quebec Skilled Worker.

Below the EOI system, applicants can create a profile in the Arrima and are assigned a score based on factors of human capital such as age, educational qualification, area of training, skilled work experience, and French language ability.

Applicants are then invited to appeal for a CSQ based on either their scores or additional factors such as labor deficits in the province’s remote regions.

If applicants obtain a CSQ then they can appeal for Canada PR through Canadian federal immigration ministry, which tests the admissibility of medical and criminal.
