After a much-anticipated delay, the Quebec province has just declared that they are presently allowing further submissions for the
Quebec Skilled Worker (Q.S.W.P) program. Interested applicants may now present an official
Expression of Interest (E.O.I) using the latest online portal, Arrima.
Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP)
The Quebec Skilled Worker program (QSWP) is one of the important immigration programs allowing new workers to the French-speaking Quebec province of Canada. QSWP uses a points-grid to evaluate for eligibility. Each person wishing to present will be granted many points depends on their age, education, proficiency in the language, employment offers, etc. Only those applicants who satisfy the minimum points requirement will be able to present.
Applicants for Quebec immigration go by a two-step process for
Canadian PR. First, they should apply for a Certificat de selection du Quebec (C.S.Q) from the Quebec province. After getting a C.S.Q, candidates may then appeal for
permanent residency from the federal government of Canada.
The process of Submitting Application
In August 2018, Quebec announced a series of modifications to its
immigration programs. One of the significant changes affects the way in which applicants apply for QSWP. Prior to August, QSWP applied a first-come, first-served system to handle applications. With the modifications, QSWP substituted this with a system of Expression of Interest (E.O.I), comparable to the federal
Express Entry system.
QSW’s new system will demand enthusiastic candidates to present EOIs with their personal information in order to be recognized for the program. Only the applicants with the most competing EOIs will be asked to present an appeal for a Certificat de selection du Quebec (CSQ).
Interested applicants can present their EOIs utilizing the online platform, Arrima. When presenting their appeals using Arrima, applicants will have to present the following types of information:
- Personal Information of Candidate
- Contact details of Applicant
- Information about your Family members
- Status of living in Quebec
- Education Background & Academics background
- Professional work experience of the Applicant
- Job Offers received from Organizations
- Must Qualify in the Language Proficiency Test
- Other corresponding information for documentation
