The detailed analysis of employment rate considering the age group and gender shows the number of employed people. It also reveals all the changes in population size in each group and helps to know the modifications in employment. The employment rates increased in all except in women in the age bracket of 15-24. Furthermore the employment rates in the age group of 25-54 years and also for people above 55 years in 2017 group both among men and women, reached a 20 year record.

The decline in employment rate for women in the age bracket of 15-24 years from 61.4% in 2016 to 60.8% in 2017 had a reason. It was owing to the enrollment for full-time in schools. Here the enrollment rate increased from 65.5% to 68.4% during the year.

These trends are positive and reveal that the province is pursuing the right policies and can deliver excellent results with the passage of time.
