Quebec Prolongs Time Frame to 90 Days to Submit an EOI through Arrima

November 2018, 21
EMAIL  Print A+
The Quebec Immigration Ministry is prolonging the time provided for finishing and presenting an EOI through the portal of Arrima to 90 days.

Potential applicants earlier had only 30 days to create and present an Expression of Interest by the Arrima portal. Proposed applicants will now have extra 60 days to finish and present their profile of Expressions of Interest to the Quebec Skilled Worker Program candidates bank.

If the Expression of Interest is not finished and presented within the 90 days, the form of Expression of Interest will be removed. However, an Arrima account will continue active, and the potential applicant will be able to generate a current Expression of Interest below that same account. Once an EOI is presented, it will continue and valid for one year.

The current system of Expression of Interest substituted with earlier strictly "first-come, first served" process of application for the Program of Quebec Skilled Worker, which only allowed a fixed number of appeals from immigration applicants who did not satisfy one of the program's cap exceptions.

There is presently no limit to the candidate's number who can present a profile to the bank Expression of Interest.

Processing steps for Quebec Skilled Worker Program

The process of application for the Program Quebec of Skilled Worker comprises the subsequent steps:

• Completion of an EOI profile by the Arrima portal and access into the Q.S.W.P's Bank Expression of Interest.
• Invitation to appeal for a Certificate of Quebec Selection to selected applicants who satisfy the criteria defined by the ministry. Having a job offer accepted by the Immigration Ministry of Quebec is one of the principal factors taken into account.
• Application for a Certificate of Quebec Selection from Immigration Ministry of Quebec.
• Certificate of Quebec Selection Issued to selected candidates.
• Submission of a Canada PR application to IRCC.
