Overseas immigrants’ better educated and younger
Canadian Government newly revealed in a statement that the prospective immigrants immigrating to the nation are younger and better educated. Proponents further added that they will soon conduct a survey on the evaluation of the credentials of the immigrants as per the immigration changes. As per the WES (World Education Services) about 80% of all of its work on the assessment were completed for those who were overseas. The study- after making its first glimpse on the immigrant profiles found that over 28,851 potential applicants were referred by the CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada). Of which 3,200 immigrants have done with their questionnaire.

The survey also found that most of the individuals who are migrating from other nations were between 25 and 44 years. Moreover, 59% of the potential applicants stated that their highest level of qualification is bachelor’s degree, while another forty percent candidates had masters and three percent of them had a doctoral degree, according to the new report released on Friday.

Earlier in 2012, when the evaluation of educational credentials was made mandatory, only 34% of immigrants had a degree of undergraduate, 18% had Masters, and only five percent of them had a Ph.D.

Concerned representatives of the nation also noted that highly skilled professionals need not wait for six years to make an effortless move, as whose skills which are in high demand in the nation are highly mobile cohort.

Though the count of overseas individuals settling in Ontario is decreasing day by day, the WES survey found that over 47% of respondents have expressed their interest to settle in this modern nation. When looked at other nations. It was found that 12% people shown their interest to settle in British Columbia, 22% in Alberta and the remaining 45 in Nova Scotia.

Most of the foreign skilled professionals arriving nation are optimistic about their employment outlook. Furthermore, sources also said that 90% of individuals stated that they are willing to immigrate to Canada to lead a higher quality of life and to grab better career and employment opportunities.  Lack of proper English and French language skills has become a big challenge for a newcomer to grab the opportunities soon, said the proponents.
