Ontario PNP: Recent Draw Issues 16 ITAs to Entrepreneur Candidates

Ontario provincial Immigration conducted the latest draw for immigration applicants on 2 December 2019 and issuing invitations to apply to 16 immigrant entrepreneurs to start the process of application.

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee (O.I.N.P) Program's Entrepreneur Category is for immigrant nationals who are attending to execute the latest business initiative or purchase a current business in the province of Ontario.

Ontario Entrepreneur Category Draw Details

All the Interested candidates need to initially submit an expression of interest (E.O.I) to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee (O.I.N.P) Program. Those who are qualified will then be accessed into the pool of applicants and they will be given with a rank based on their Entrepreneur Stream's score in the evaluation grid. The minimum demanded score in this current invitation round was 118 points.

Candidates required having their Expression of Interest score that secured by 21 November 2019, in order to be recognized for this Entrepreneur immigration draw.

Scores are composed of two parts one is a self-declared score that values a maximum of 126 points and a business idea score that values a maximum of 74 points.

Those who got an invitation in the 2 December draw can now provide an online application accompanied by all the required documents to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program and need to pay the application fee.

Applicants accepted through the Ontario Entrepreneur Stream get a support letter from the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program that they can then use to appeal for a temporary work permit from the Canadian federal government.

Applicants who are accepted for a temporary work permit will have 20 months to build their business in the province of Ontario and present a final report to the O.I.N.P, which decides if the terms of their performance contract have been achieved or not.

Accepted applicants can then appeal for a nomination from the Ontario PNP for Canada PR.
