Ontario Invites New Express Entry Candidates in Skilled Trades and French-Speaking Workers

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program stated that 59 candidates receiving the invitation  in this round by using the Skilled Trades Stream, had submitted their profiles, between Jan 1, 2018, and May 2, 2018. Similarly, 36 candidates, receiving the invitation in this round, in the Skilled Worker Stream (French-Speaking) had submitted their profiles between Jan 1, 2018, and May 3, 2018. Furthermore, these streams do not have a minimum CRS score requirement.

 The Skilled Trades Stream Ontario has presently issued 604 Notifications since Jan 2018. Likewise 420 Notifications has issued in the French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream. The Province also issued 2,587 Notifications since Jan 2018 to candidates through its HCP Stream. Moreover, it will regularly issue NOIs to the qualifying candidates in the federal pool for its EE streams.

The Skilled Trades Stream is used by skilled workers who have a valid EE profile and qualify for the CEC. They also have requisite work experience in skilled activities.

The FSSW Stream commenced in 2015. It aims to attract qualifying candidates in French-speaking Express Entry category in the FSWC or the Canadian Experience Class. Additionally, they must be proficient in English language and have a CLB 6

All candidates, who receive the Ontario Notifications, and also get the provincial nomination, add extra 600 CRS points. This strengthens their position to receive an ITA, in future Express Entry draws.

Such candidates who receive the Ontario Notification in the recent invitation round get 45 days for submitting an online application to the Program. The initial step to pursue Express Entry-linked streams of Ontario begins when they submit a profile to the federal pool.
