Nova Scotia: Express Entry to Reopen Soon With New Occupations List
Last week the Canadian Province of Nova Scotia announced to reopen Nova Scotia Demand under the Express Entry Canadian immigration stream, part of the Nova Scotia Nominee Program. In continuation to the previous announcement, the province has released an updated list of the in demand 'opportunity' employment options. The list comprises of 16 profiles out of which 8 are new addition whereas remaining 8 occupations had been there on the previous list as well. 

As per an official statement released, when the province will reopen in the upcoming months – nearly 250 applications will be accepted for the B-Category of the stream. To be eligible for this the candidate must have at least 12 months of experience in the occupation in demand.Employment letter/job offer is not mandatory for the category.

The province has not given any clear indication regarding the opening under Category A. To apply under Category A the candidates need to have a full-time and a permanent skilled employment offer from an employer from the province. 

The Nova Scotia Nominee Program was last open in late 2015. Applicants willing to apply under Category B of Nova Scotia Demand need to have at least one year of full-time skilled work experience in the last 10 years and must have an experience in the mentioned 16 jobs. Should have his/her education credential done by the concerned department. 

The 16 jobs mentioned in the list are: Financial Auditors and Accountants ,  Other financial officers , Professional occupations in advertising, marketing and public relations, Administrative assistants, Accounting and related clerks,  Civil engineers,  Information systems analysts and consultants, Computer programmers and interactive media development,  Computer network technicians,  User support technicians,  Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses, Licensed practical nurses,  College and other vocational instructors, Paralegal and related occupations, Social and community service workers,  Financial sales representatives.
