No housing benefit for jobless migrants in UK

It has been announced by the UK Home Secretary, Theresa May that migrants who enter the UK and are unemployed will now be denied Housing Benefit under the new plans that are underway to curb the issue of migration and exploitation of the UK’s welfare system.

The new plans are set to begin at the start of the next tax year, which is April.

Recently there was a new legislation which was rushed through parliament to stop all migrants being able to claim out of work benefits until they had been residing in the UK for a minimum of 3 months, many MP’s including Nick Clegg, William Hague and the UKIP leader, Nigel Farce want the three month period extending even further up to five years.

Cabinet Ministers have released a statement which says that no longer will people be able to come here from overseas and obtain something for nothing, it ends and it ends now.

There is no doubt that migrants have done an awful lot for the UK over the years, we now have a widespread tremendously diverse and rich culture in all towns, cities and neighbourhoods and many talents which migrants bring over such as in the medical fields we could not do without. It is the migrants who wish to come here and just take from the pot that will be stopped.

All UK citizens today who claim benefits will be aware of the total reform, introductions of things such as the Bedroom Tax where housing benefit is cut if you have an empty bedroom, tighter rules on job seekers allowance and the restrictions for disability allowances all go some way to curb the massive problem that the UK has regarding out of work benefits.

From now on, EU migrants will only be able to claim the benefit Job Seekers Allowance for a six month period, though they’re are exceptions such as if the migrants can substantially prove that they have a genuine prospect of finding work.

There will be many new immigration rules that will begin over the next two years to massively clamp down on those whom are out to exploit the system.

More than 90% of job vacancies over the last twelve months have gone to UK citizens with those whom would normally be willing to claim out of work benefits now unable to the unemployment rate is falling, at the same time immigration is rising so job opportunities are not as plentiful as they once were and nor are the benefits.
