Modifying remuneration limits for resident visas of Skilled Migrant Category and Essential Skills work visas
These compensation levels are modified in each Nov month, depends on the Statistics of Labour Market (Income) data issued by Stats New Zealand. Remuneration limits were launched in Aug 2017 as a way, in part, of discovering the person’s skill level and employment for immigration goals.
Refreshing the Thresholds of Remuneration
Thresholds for Category of New Skilled Migrant
• Skillful employment in an ANZSCO 1-3 profession: $ 25 per hour or higher (or equal to yearly salary)
• Skilled work in an ANZSCO 4-5 profession, or a profession which is not incorporated in ANZSCO: $37.50 per hour or higher (or equal to yearly salary)
• Reward points for huge remuneration: $50 per hour or higher (or equal to yearly salary)
Thresholds for New Essential Skills
• Mid-skilled work (ANZSCO 1-3 professions only): $ 21.25 per hour or higher
• Higher-skilled work (any job): $ 37.50 per hour or higher
Pathway for Student visa pilot Extension to 30 Apr 2019
The current pathway for student visa pilot will be prolonged to 30 Apr 2019. All contemporary pilot members will be able to remain offering
pathway for student visas, and pathway for student visa appeals will remain to be allowed until 30 Apr 2019.
