New Scheme in U.S.A for illegal migrants

White House USA

Recent meetings with the United States President, Barack Obama, White House Officials and the Leading Immigration Reform Advocates of the U.S have led to a recent announcement that a new approach will be used to reform immigration. The gist is that a kinder and gentler approach may be key to a more successful year for Immigration in America.

Last year saw much debate regarding the 11 million illegal migrants that are thought to currently be in the United States, deporting such a large number is not a financial option, granting them status is also not an option though all agree that something must be done to bring these people forward.

President Obama has began talks about a scheme where for all migrants who are here illegally if they arrived whilst they were a minor then deportation will be suspended for a two year period, they may also be eligible for Work Permits and even driving licenses in some States. The idea is that conflict is not what is being put out there, more consideration, kindness and leniency without making a mockery of the Immigration Authorities and the Government. A balance is needed for change, but it is creating that balance that is causing the debates with many people in disagreement about the new ‘Carrot’ and not the ‘Stick’ method.

Undocumented migrants, known as illegal migrants, could now be able to permanently live and work in the country is the new idea is introduced, this is what the House Republicans are working towards. This plan is reportedly only days away from being released to the citizens of the U.S.

For 11 million people to be living illegally and in the shadows of the U.S.A this is a figure that is benefiting nobody, these migrants are totally unprotected by law and thus extremely vulnerable. They are thought to be causing much strain on the unemployment rate by working ‘cash in hand’ for low wages in positions that would be filled by American Citizens, working legally and earning a legal salary. The only people benefiting from illegal migrants are those in the underworld, the convicts, the traffickers, the undesirables and the ones doing the country much harm. Bringing undocumented migrants to light will in turn prevent these people from running underground businesses than unbeknown affect so many.

An unnamed speaker from the White House who disagrees with the new scheme idea has said it will seem as though officials are rewarding criminal activity, illegal migrants have broken the law by entering the country and rewarding them with permanent status, jobs and homes will not set out a good opinion of the once tough and strict authorities.
