New Pathway to Get Australian PR for Subclass 405 and 410 Visa Holders

EMAIL  Print A+
New law due to start on 17 Nov 2018 will now give a permanent residence pathway for Investor Retirement (subclass 405 ) and Retirement (subclass 410 ) visa holders in Australia.

Recent Reforms for Subclass 405 and 410 Visa Holders

Earlier, there was no pathway to PR for Investor Retirement (subclass 405) and Retirement (subclass 410) visa holders. To continue in Australia they would require to re-apply for certain temporary visas for every 4 to 5 years and satisfy the appropriate criteria in each appeal; this incorporated the requirement to present refreshed supporting proof, pay a new set of visa appeals fees and for the Subclass 405 visa, reinvest notable sums of money into bonds of government.

In the middle of the year 2018, the Home Affairs Department finished the  Investor Retirement (Subclass 405) and Retirement (Subclass 410) visas to new candidates with the government of Australia indicating there would be a permanent residence pathway for these holders of the visa.

From 17 Nov 2018, Subclass 405 and 410 visa holders will have the chance to apply for Australian PR by the Parent (subclass 103) and Contributory Parent (subclass 143) visas. Moreover, there will be no demand for a meeting or sponsorship the Family test Balance.

This new choice is not for all and it applicable for Investor Retirement (subclass 405) and Retirement (subclass 410) visa holders. Candidates for the parent visa also require to satisfy the health criteria which needs them to be evaluated by the Commonwealth Medical Officer as not having a medical situation that would result in vital costs to the community of Australia, or prejudice the path of an Australian permanent resident or citizen to a community or health care service. This demand is irrelevant of whether or not the candidate plans to use Australian community or health care services.
