New Manitoba draw issues invitation to 400 skilled workers

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program has issued 400 Letters of Advice in the draw of April 13. The receivers can now apply for provincial nomination. This was the fifth round of invitations in this year.  The province issued 316 Letters of Advice to apply to the seekers in the Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream category. The score of the candidate ranked lowest was 534. 84 LAAs were also issued in the Strategic Recruitment Initiative of the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream.

Firstly, this Initiative is based on recruitment missions, where representatives of the Program hold an interview of the foreign workers abroad. Subsequently, they issue LAA to eligible candidates who make a formal Expression of Interest to the MPNP.

Moreover, the Program invites people who have already conducted an approved and Exploratory Visit. The norm is that they must pass an interview after facing an official of the program.

Way of the Program

The MPNP draws are based on a system of Expression of Interest. Furthermore, the potential candidates submit an EOI to the province and get a score on their profiles. The rank is awarded depending on the answers they give on the online system. The top scoring aspirants of the EOI pool get a LAA and can seek a provincial nomination from the Manitoba Government.

All Skilled workers located in Manitoba and also overseas who receive an LAA, and have a successful application to get the provincial nomination can submit an application to the government. Through this they can get a PR status in Canada.

MPNP Skilled Workers in Manitoba

 This Program sub-category accepts applications from qualified overseas workers as well as international student graduates. The condition is that they must be presently work in Manitoba and also possess a permanent job offer by their Manitoba employer. Skilled Workers in Manitoba do not need a points-based assessment to become eligible.

MPNP Skilled Workers Overseas

The Program sub-category helps the skilled workers who are well qualified and reside outside Canada.  The condition is that they must show a strong connection to the province and to the labor market also. A system based on points, categorizes the candidates, as per the age, education, proficiency in language, work experience, and adaptability.
