At the end of October, the UK government changes to immigration policies will come into effect which will see UK business see more flexible variations on their workforce’s visa requirements.

UK immigration rules
One of the most significant changes to the law is to the applicants applying for indefinite leave to remain in the UK include removing the English language requirement for any inter company transfer, which will give a greater chance of any graduates working as entrepreneurs to move into the Tier 2 of the immigration table. It will also benefit students who wish to work on internships in the authorized exchange scheme. The aim is to encourage any study at the UK’s universities and colleges, which is why study rules have been relaxed almost across the board in these cases.

Tourist visas and visitors on business will see the rules relaxed on study, and allow them to do so even if it is not the main reason for their visit. Business visitors will be able to do more things  [pertaining to their visits, as the rules are being relaxed somewhat.

There will also be new quotas for the youth mobility schemes and performers and artist who show promise in the arts will be advised to apply for their visas under tier 1 for 2014.

One of the other changes are the temporary immigration rules which will apply for personnel and participants in the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games to easily obtain the correct visas to enter and participate the games.

There will also be new temporary immigration rules introduced so participants and personnel can get visas for the UK during the 2014 Commonwealth Games being held in Glasgow, Scotland.

Immigration minister Mark Harper has advised the country is “open for business” and refer to the building of an immigration system that works for the best benefit to the country, encouraging work and study in the UK at one of their many Universities, which he refers to as world class.

He also advises that the Individual applicants for graduate entrepreneur visas can move to the skilled work visas more swiftly and efficiently which will encourage the best talented people to want to remain in the UK, which is where the UK wishes tom to be.

He states “Immigration reform is working and we have tightened immigration routes where abuse was rife, while still encouraging the brightest and the best to come to the UK".
