Migrants to not be allowed working benefits in the pipeline - UK

The UK’s media and press recently has been focusing on migration and the apparent effects it has on our citizens, resources and economy. Rarely does the media print opting to jump on the band wagon and slating all migrants for the sake of the minority who do abuse the system, people can forget that we are a country built on the back of migrants and that without migrants assistance over the years the UK would be a very different place.

Recently however a nationwide survey was conducted on migration, and the results are factual and now in print for all to see. The gist is that over 77% of UK citizens want to curb migration, with the headline to match ‘enough is enough’.

Over 150 migrants per day are entering the UK and this is a staggering rate, when one considers the size of Britain and it’s already 60 million population with migration as it is it is a worrying prospect to how this will shape our once green and pleasant lands.

The UKIP leader, Mr Nigel Farce is calling for change to the current mere 12 week ban for migrants to receive benefits in the UK, wanting the rules extended to at least a 5 year period and that during that time they must pay into the system in order to take out. Touri MP William Hague has also agreed with this.

Nigel Farce says change is needed and it is needed now. He says ‘’The UK must be mad, we are a country that is recovering badly from the recession, we have much poverty for our own people today and people of working class are struggling more than they have in decades, it is preposterous to be handing out benefits to migrants that have moved here and contributed not an iota to the system.

Migrants can currently claim housing benefit, council tax benefit, tax credits, disability benefits, are fully entitled to free healthcare, free education and free school meals for their children. Migrants here from EU countries can also receive these benefits for their children even if there children do not live in this country, MP Nick Clegg has called this perverse.

London's mayor, Boris Johnson has said he believes that extending the 12 week period to a 2 year period would be the most appropriate course of action for all.

A spokesperson from Downing Street has confirmed that there are measures that are being taken to curb the many migrants in this country claiming benefits such as child benefit and child tax benefit for their children who live in their native country, but as of yet no further information has been given.

Migration is to see a reduction next year, if the Government can be believed, down to 100,000 people though Nigel Farce scoffed that this was certainly not achievable.
