The MPNP operates through the system of Expression of Interest for the skilled workers, where interested persons can submit a proper EOI. After doing this, they are given points based on several personal factors. A Letter of Advice to Apply is issued to the high ranking candidate. It is similar to an invitation. After successful nomination, they can apply to the federal government, for taking up the permanent resident status.

In the Skilled Workers in Manitoba subcategory, 351 candidates were issued an LAA, in the draw held on October 31. The score of the lowest-ranked, to be invited was 577.

Manitoba PNP meant for Skilled Workers

The Manitoba PNP for employing professional Skilled Workers had the aim to assist employers based in Manitoba to find overseas talent to go together with their present workers. The workers with experience and skills needed, and who make an Expression of Interest to migrate to the Manitoba, are selected. It nominates for receiving nomination certificate from the Provincial Program. That person can then submit an application to the federal government to get a PR status.

The options here are attractive to the candidates who are ineligible to migrate through the selection system of federal Express Entry immigration because the requirements for eligibility are different.  MPNP grants Canadian Language Benchmark 4 points for proficiency in language to the candidates in a few jobs which is a low threshold than the requirements of FSW Class.
