Increasing Change in Hong kong
The city of Hong Kong is one of the most densely populated in the world. It has an overall density of around 6,300 people per square kilometre. This is why housing is in such demand and tower blocks equate cramped living conditions are the norm here. With a city with such a huge population it may be surprising in the current climate to learn that 94% of the citizens are born and bred here and that a further 4% of Hong Kong's population is made up of Migrant Domestic Workers, this leave 2% of the country whom are either high up the professional ladder, students or undocumented.

Hong Kong has a lot to offer professional people and it is becoming an increasingly used place for both Students and Teachers to learn and grow. The job market is competitive and only the absolute best will be hired in all sectors, with such a high population the country can afford to be choose with whom it hires. This means that if you wish to be a teacher especially, in Hong Kong then you face a challenge to join one of the best and up and coming education system that the world has to offer. Studying in Hong Kong is an experience like no other and new policies mean that scholarships are now available for Migrant Students in Hong Kong meaning your education will be subsidized by the Government of Hong Kong. There are currently eight Universities throughout Hong Kong that are government funded and all have specialities in all courses, studies and graduations. The system of education was fully revised between the years of 2000 and 2006 and the current system could not differ more greatly than that which was previously in place. Students arriving now are to take part in one of the newest, most modern and most credible education systems in a uniquely vibrant city that really does have it all.

Professional persons currently have to live and in the country for a minimum of seven years, without gaps, before being able to apply for permanent residency but when they are eligible it is a much easier process than in many other migration destinations. Due to a recent court battle involving a Migrant Domestic Worker their rights as a group are to be revisited and equality is what hundreds of thousands of persons in this category are demanding of the government so much change may be ahead in Hong Kong for all!
