The immigration as well as the citizenship minister Chris Alexander has announced further measures for the Typhoon Haiyan affected people. The minister said that the CIC will prioritize the whole processing of visa applications from the storm affected people whose self-identity is affected by the storm.

“The people as well as the government of Canada are saddened by this devastating storm impact on the people of Philippine.” the citizenship as well as the immigration minister said. The minister also said, “The government of Canada will continue to take all possible action to support the storm affected people and those who are impacted by this storm. We promise to work for the storm affected people with our partners to ensure the best possible helps for them and give them the urgent support. We want to provide the best facilities to the affected people of Philippine.”

In Manila, the Canadian Embassy opens as well as starts to provide the full visa service, immigration as well as passport services and it is open for all. The visa application center in Cebu and Manila are open for all as well as fully functional.
