Immigrating to Australia
Deciding you want or need to move from your homeland can be a pretty difficult decision, especially if you happen to have children. Then the question that appears in your mind is also another difficult decision to take: where to move? You cannot choose a country just by spinning the globe and putting your finger randomly on a state. This decision has to be carefully though of and all the factors must be analyzed one by one: countries that are close to your home country (you may want to visit the place you grew up in from time to time), official language spoken, economical aspects and visa requirements.

If you happen to from countries such as Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, and Papua New Guinea and so on, you might be thinking of moving to Australia. Some of the reasons why someone would choose this country are because it is a big country, with a good economy, it is relatively close to the country that you grew up in and the official spoken language is English which you might have already learned in school. The only tough thing about moving to Australia would be the fact that you have to register for a visa and they are not all given so fast.

There are a lot of types of visas that can be obtained by anybody and they are usually classified according to the main reasons that lead you to apply for a visa: tourist visa, transit, medical treatment, temporary work (short stay), student, temporary residence, family (partner, child, other), resident return. All of these types of visas are called visa subclasses but you have to be pretty sure about which one you are going to apply for because they all require different documentation and they all have different fees.

If you find it difficult to apply for an Australian visa because you do not know in which category you might fit better, then you should know that the Department of Immigration and Citizenship in Australia has developed an application for the internet in order to help you, called Visa Wizard. This tool comes in the form of a questioner and upon completion of it you will be shown what types of visas you will be eligible for. In addition to that, you will be given a link with the application form for each type of visa you qualify for, a lot of information about each and every type of visa and a visa pricing table so that you can look up associated charges for your visa.

It may seem now like a very long and difficult process you might have to undergo, but with a little bit of patience and a lot of reading your dream of moving to Australia can be made possible. The key factor here is to be informed about all the aspects of the visa subclass you are applying for. So, get on that browser of yours and get cracking with the visa application! Good luck!
