Germany to Attract Thousands of Foreign Nationals
German government is all set to lure hundreds of thousands of foreign nationals each year, for the coming ten years to meet the skill gap which the country is currently experiencing the shortage, as per the new report unveiled by the leading economic research institute.

Few of the concerned sources of the nation revealed in a statement that diminishing population and lack of skilled workers in various sectors such as medical and engineering professionals shows that the country is facing a significant problem in meeting the general needs of the people like paying pensions and providing proper healthcare facilities.

According to the new statistics, around one-fifth of Germans are aged 65 or above, by making it the second-oldest country in the world after Japan. This world-class destination has low birth rates, with a yearly average of 8.42 births per 1,000 individuals.

As per the new study conducted by the Institute for Employment Research in Nuremberg, the labor force in the nation is anticipated to fall by seven million by the year end of 2015. Germany is going to face a critical labor shortage and needs to grab the attention of hundreds of thousands of overseas skilled workers in order to entice the skill shortage.

Presumably, the government has promulgated a number of changes to help foreign nationals to settle easily as well as work in the nation. In the recent years, Berlin has introduced a new Blue Card Scheme to streamline the process of recruiting the trained skilled professionals. The new card has allowed overseas applicants who were holding a salary of around €35,000 and valid university degree to lodge a request for permanent residency.

Proponents further added that the Germany has welcomed a highest number of overseas individuals from the across the globe in the past 20 years, with 1,226,000 foreign nationals entering the nation. However, it is facing a severe deficit of skilled workforce in specific sectors.  This modern country is open to all skilled workers who possess special skills and qualifications and also have an ability to work for the country’s economy.

Reportedly, the country is also planning to put forth many child benefits plans for parents who earn a maximum of €215 each month.
