Express Entry HCP Stream Ontario Attains Registration Intake Limit

November 2017, 08

Express-Entry-HCP-Stream-Ontario
The extremely popular HCP stream Ontario has attained its registration intake-limit. It was reopened for registrations on November 2nd. This Provincial Nominee Program stream is aligned with the Express Entry and is a part of the OINP, which provides a great source to the province to welcome newcomers who possess the required abilities to quickly integrate into the employment market.

At present, there is no possibility to accept additional registrations. There is a likelihood that the program will issue more Notifications of Interest to qualifying Express Entry candidates before December 2017.

OINP is monitoring the present intake of applications and matching it with the limits of federal nomination allocation of Ontario. This will lead to determining if additional applications can be admitted in this stream.

Notifications of Interest, functions in a similar manner, like the invitation to apply. In the OINP Human Capital Priorities stream, the NOI obtaining process is passive and immigration authorities of Ontario search the Express Entry pool for qualified potential applicants. It does not guarantee that eligibility for the stream will lead to issuing the NOI.

Eligibility

Eligibility norms are as below:

Candidates need to possess an Express Entry pool profile and score 400 CRS points. It needs to remain at 400 or above it during the nomination processing stage and also at the federal application for PR processing stage;

Candidates need to possess some work experience;

Candidates who select assessment under FSWC criteria must have a year of continuous (full-time) employment experience, under a National Occupation Classification level 0, A, or B occupation, during the past five years before to the Notifying date.

Candidates who select assessment under CEC criteria must have a year of cumulative and full-time employment experience under a NOC 0, A, or B occupation in Canada during the past three years before the Notifying date.

Candidates need to possess a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. degree OR an Educational Assessment report, which is given by a designated organization, representing that the foreign land education credential is equal to a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. qualification of Canada;

Have English or French language proficiency level CLB7 in all four competencies;

Have the intention to live in Ontario;

Sufficient funds to cover costs in Ontario must be available;

The criteria laid out in the FSWP or CEC need to be fulfilled.

The province can also opt to remove certain requirements for candidates to score 400 CRS points, as had happened in June when certain candidates with Information and Communications Technology Sector work experience were exempted.

Ontario has issued these updates regarding the HCP stream.

Notifications of Interest issued before November 1, 2017, are valid for a period of six months and all the aspirants need to apply for the HCP Stream in the OINP e-Filing Portal, after six months of receiving it.

NOI which has been issued after November 1st, 2017, is valid until December 31st, 2017.

All NOIs which have been issued during the year 2017 will not be valid after December 31, 2017,

Approved and nominated for allocation application in the OINP for the year 2017, will receive the nomination certificate in the early part of 2018.
