Drop in the number of Asylum seekers living in centres: Denmark

There are many Asylum centres across the world, and for more popular migration destinations there are usually several in each country. The centres serve as a halfway residence for individuals who have had no choice but to flee from their country due to war or fear of persecution as to the way they live their lives or the religion they choose to follow. Conditions are horrendous for citizens who live in these countries every day is a fight for survival, this is why the lucky ones flee to countries that are not at war. While their applications for visas are processed they have to be housed in asylum centres for their own protection so that they have a place to stay and food to eat, as well as medical care. In Denmark the number of people residing in the centres has dropped in only a few months. This is good news as it means the system is moving with greater ease.

Visa Approved

For the Syrian citizens who are staying in the centres there is now a fast track system in place. The civil war in Syria is causing many to flee and the fast track system means that the applications for a visas will run more smoothly and faster to avoid delays and backlogs in this current crises.

Once they have their visa accepted they are considered citizens of the country and can stay for an indefinite amount of time. Immigrants can then go on to find employment in the country and have a better life, a life many Danish born people can take for granted knowing no different.

Some asylum seekers will be deported, this is only after an application has been submitted and found to have no need to claim asylum. Any individual who has a genuine need for asylum will not be turned away. The drop in numbers at the centre means that the system is working, both to deport individuals who have no rights to claim and rehousing genuine asylum seekers.

Denmark is a fabulous country, one that is very welcoming, very fair and stands by peoples human rights. It is constantly statistically listed as one of the happiest countries in the world, and one of the most liberal and understanding. Denmark are doing right by everyone. The system is run fairly for both the country and the immigrants.
