Through extensive sharing expertise, trade and investment in the sector of renewable energy, bilateral ties will be expanded into Pakistan by Denmark. The envoy of Denmark is set to open its first commercial section in a bilateral investment and trade between Pakistan and the Nordic country. From Monday, that is 2nd December, 2012, the commercial section will be operated at the embassy as said by the Danish Ambassador Jesper Moller Sorensen in an exclusive interview to The Express Tribune. Sorensen, who had taken charge in Islamabad in the month of August, said that he had spent the last three months in the country in understanding the requirements of Pakistan and also to build unity among all the business communities.

Then the Ambassador said that he will be travelling back to Denmark in December and then again in 2014 January for speaking with the business community in Denmark for discussing about investment and export opportunities in Pakistan. He also said that he was no one for forcing the Danish companies to come to Pakistan. He said that it depends all on the individual companies and that he can only try to convince the companies that how profitable is the country of Pakistan.

Pakistan is already facing power crisis but if it merged with the Danish companies, then it could get great support from the Nordic country. A large amount of renewable energy can be found in Denmark. For the purpose of cooperation, renewable energy is an outstanding area as said BY Sorensen. The private industry of Denmark could also support Pakistan in agricultural machinery, technologies and even in the conservation of energy. If Denmark provides bilateral assistance to Pakistan, then in the long run, it will be able to use its own resources and will be able to trade with other countries.
