When it comes to being the cleanest nation in terms of corruption then no doubt Denmark has been found to be leading the list. Along with Denmark New Zealand also was on the top side of the list. This list is for the Corruption Perceptions Index. This year’s list came out with the above results. The report was prepared by Transparency International who perceives the condition of the corruption on the public sector of various nations. This organization is based in the city of Berlin. This year the total report was prepared on basis of 177 countries. During the survey zero was seen to be the highest level of corruption and 100 is perceived to be the highest level of non corruption. According to the report in this survey about two third of the countries failed to score even fifty.

Huguette LaBelle, the chairman of the Transparency International said in a statement that there are various countries where the treats of corruption are still high despite the fact that steps are taken. The local reinforcement system has a huge fault of corruption in it and that what cause the main problem. In the list which was published the most cleaner countries beside Denmark and New Zealand were Sweden, Norway, Australia, Germany, Finland, Singapore, Canada and Switzerland. In the same list the countries like Iraq, Libya, Sudan, North Korea and Afghanistan were the countries which come at the bottom of list.

Accordance to the report it was also stated that the major problem is in the areas like the police, Justice System as well as that of Political parties. However, there are some countries which have improved a lot when it comes to this aspect. The countries like Laos, Nepal, Latvia, Estonia, Lesotho, and Greece are in that list. The next year report will tell which countries will take a step more towards development.
