Canadian PNPs: Important Changes in 2018 that will Continue in 2019

Provincial Nominee Programs of Canada extended to declare itself as the upcoming star of the economic immigration programs of Canada in 2018 and is supposed to play an even stronger prominent role in the months forward.

The Provincial Nominee Program enables participating provinces and territories of Canada to nominate a fixed economic immigrants number for permanent residence every year.

An Express Entry applicant nominated by a province or territory of a Canada receives a further 600 points toward their ranking score, definitely ensuring an invitation to apply for Canada PR.

Nominations of the Province are also announced outside the system of Express Entry by numerous streams of PNP across Canada. These are identified as base nominations.

Ontario Province

Ontario, Canada’s most populated province, had the most significant individual P.N.P allocation of 2018 with nominations number 6,600, a number that was later enhanced to 6,850 approaching the end of the year.

The current year could be an even higher one for the O.I.N.P, which has demanded an enhanced allocation of 7,600 nominations from I.R.C.C.

Ontario announced a total of 6,978 ITA's in 2018 to Express Entry applicants by the province’s 03 Express Entry-associated streams

·         French Speaking Skilled Worker Stream

·         Human Capital Priorities Stream

·         Skilled Trades Stream

The Stream of Human Capital Priorities alone announced 3,719 invitations to Express Entry applicants in the year 2018. Another 1,633 were announced by the  Stream of French-Speaking Skilled Worker, and 1,626 went to Express Entry applicants by the Stream of Skilled Trades.

Latest Express Entry-associated streams in Alberta, Manitoba and Nova Scotia

Another important P.N.P development in the year 2018 that must continue to be felt in this year was the initiation of new Express Entry-associated streams in the provinces of Alberta, Manitoba and Nova Scotia.

Both Alberta and Manitoba launched their Express Entry-associated streams as part of a comprehensive overhaul of their provincial nominee programs in the earlier year.

Saskatchewan E.O.I

The Saskatchewan province shifted its famous sub-categories of International Skilled Worker  Express Entry and Professions In-Demand to an E.O.I system in Jul 2018 leading to draws minimum once a month.

Like other E.O.I systems, this one generates a candidates pool for both sub-categories and features so-called factors of human capital including work experience, education, and knowledge in French or English, the strength of which defines an applicant's score and place in the pool.

The Program of Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee states these factors all play a definitive role in a applicants future economic progress in Saskatchewan.

Province of Prince Edward Island Revises P.N.P

The Canadian Atlantic Province Prince Edward Island also revised its E.O.I system in the year 2018.

P.E.I welcomes EOIs from applicants in the pool of Express Entry who do not have a job offer in the PEI province. However, those residing and working in P.E.I have been preferred.
