Canada Immigration

Canadian population has been increasing as efforts of the Government to bring and hold abroad talent that supports labor market deficits by allowing eligible foreign nationals PR. As of the 1st of Jan 2019, the population increased to 37,314,442 of which the major growth came from much-required immigration. In the year 2018, there were 321,065 current immigrants joined into the workforce, delivering the population growth by a sum of 528,421 for the year which is the most significant yearly progress in Canada since the 1950s. Canada requires immigrants to remain filling essential roles in the economy for more growth to occur.

The actual growth numbers in 2018 (subtracting births with deaths) stood at 103,176 which is far weaker than the immigrant inrush for the year. The most significant contributor to this figure is the Federal Express Entry system which was launched in 2015. It’s no accident that this is the corresponding year that draws noticed that the immigrants' number exceeds actual population growth. With 89, 800 Invitations to Apply (I.T.As) announced in 2018 by this system for Canada PR, the federal government appears on track with its approach to invite over a million newcomers into the nation.

The aims for the invitations number sent out to applicants through these programs is growing. Since 2017, the ITAs number has exceeded the target that was fixed by the Canadian government. 2019 is assumed to be no different and may still break the 90,000 mark invitations.

To apply for one of the above programs, applicants require to enroll their profiles online by the Express Entry system. Applicants’ profiles are then measured as per the Comprehensive Ranking System which is a set of measures that gives points for certain things like educational level, working experience in years as well as language ability. The applicants are entered into the pool of Express Entry where they are ranked against other candidates in draws that typically occur every 02 weeks. Victorious applicants are given with an ITA for Canada PR.

Provincial Nominee Program

09 out of 10 provinces have global immigration to thank for improvement in local population increase in 2019. The P.N.P is one of the popular programs accountable for the tremendous success rate that Canada has had in terms of global immigration.

The P.N.P has fixed a target to announce 61,000 invitations in 2019 which is assumed to grow to 71, 300 within the following three years to address worker deficits in particular provinces in specific fields. It will propel growth in regional economies and contribute some mobility within communities of Canada.

This rise in immigration is driven by higher than 25, 000 new permanent residents introduced in the Ontario province and an addition of 6, 500 immigrants into the British Columbia province in 2018 related to 2017.

However, there is genuine evidence of progress in programs like the Atlantic Immigration Pilot program which has presently been continued for a further two years. The Atlantic Provinces consist of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island.
