Made in Canada
Canada is a very diverse and appealing country, after the recent terrible natural disaster to hit the Philippines they have also shown themselves to be a very caring and helpful nation, as their attitude towards the Philippines has shown. As a country the citizens of Canada are deeply saddened about the devastation the typhoon caused as it ripped through the Philippines leaving the death toll extremely high and its citizens left with no homes or food. Truly, one of the worst disasters of our time. Canada have offered the citizens of the Philippines help and refuge in their country, certain criteria must be met but as the crises continues, Canada will help in as many ways as they can.

The Canadian embassy in Manila remains open and running a full service for immigration and visa help and advice. If you have been directly and significantly affected by the horrific damage that Typhoon Haiyan has caused you need to make the Canadian immigration service aware so that you can start proceedings for an application to find refuge in Canada. An application that has already been submitted but has not yet been processed also needs to be brought to the attention of the citizenship and immigration Canada so that your application will be processed as a priority case. If you do not inform them they can not know your situation. Citizens who are from areas directly affected by the typhoon are being treated as top priority, currently.

Filipinos that are currently in Canada but their visa has or is about to run out need to contact Citizen and Immigration Canada to inform them about their visa status, if they want to extend their stay in Canada due to the hurricane they will need to speak to CIC. Applications are currently being handled and assessed, due to the very nature of the atrocity in a flexible and compassionate way.

Everything possible is being done to process visas and priorities the urgent applications, if you have applied online for a visa or an extension on your current visa and not heard anything as yet then you need to email the CIC. The email will need to include as much information as you can, such as name, address, contact number and your circumstances. You need to make clear how you personally have been directly affected by the typhoon. This is a very sensitive issue and situation to be in and the Canadian authorities are fully aware and prepared for this.
