Global Talent Stream
The Canadian Government has updated the occupations list that is eligible below its famous Global Talent Stream.

The recent update noticed two occupations excluded from the Global Talent stream List of Occupations and the adding of computer network technicians (NOC 2281).

The professions that excluded were:

  • Science and Architecture Managers (NOC 0212)
  • Engineering Managers  (NOC 0211)

Employment and Social Development Canada (E.S.D.C), the Canadian ministry accountable for processing appeals to the G.T.S, told the update was mandatory to assure the list remains to reflect the Canadian labor market and the requirements of creative companies.

The list of occupations applies to the Federal Global Talent Stream Category B. E.S.D.C told it had been found that there is both a huge demand for skilled workers in the professions listed and an inadequate supply of native workers with the demanded skills.

Canadian organizations that are looking to recruit international workers on the list profit from Canadian work permits that can be announced in as short as two weeks in correspondence for a dedication to enhancing training and skills investments for permanent residents and Canadians.

Employers utilizing Category B can provide a promoted Labour Market Impact Assessment (L.M.I.A.) that ignores the requirement to demonstrate they initially tried recruiting permanent residents and citizens of Canada.

L.M.I.A.s can also be reviewed in as short as two weeks. E.S.D.C. told submissions for professions being excluded from the In-Demand list will be allowed until 4 August 2019. Those obtained after 4 August 2019, will not be considered.

Canadian Global Talent Stream

The Canadian Global Talent Stream shortly known as G.T.S. provides Canadian organizations in the areas of Technology, Science, Mathematics and Engineering (S.T.E.M.) and Information Technology with an easier way to temporary overseas workers with work experience in the occupations listed.

Canadian organizations have utilized the stream to recruit roughly 24,000 highly skilled international workers since it's started in 2017 as a 02-year pilot program. After that, the G.T.S became permanent in the 2019 March.
