British Columbia has a reduced minimum score in the recent draw

April 2018, 09
EMAIL  Print A+

The Provincial Nominee Program of British Columbia has invited 326 accomplished workers and graduates to submit an application. They can now seek a provincial nomination based on the recent draw of April 4. The Program has issued invitations to candidates by using the categories of Skills Immigration and Express Entry.

Furthermore, in all the categories in this draw, candidates have received the invitation at a low score in comparison to the previous non-tech draw of March 21.

Candidates, who have been invited by using the Express Entry BC for Skilled Worker, and for International Graduates, will receive 600 extra points in the CRS. This will happen when the application seeking provincial nomination is successful. This will lead to a good position in receiving an ITA in the future Express Entry Draw.

The applications of all Candidates, who have been invited, by using the categories of Skills Immigration, will be processed outside the EE system. This will take place after receiving the nomination from the province.

The persons interested in immigration by using the BC PNP must begin the process, at first, after creating a profile. This needs to be online, and all sections of the form of registration should be complete. After assessing profile, firstly, the applicants will receive a score. This will allot marks for civil status, education of the candidate, work experience, and some other factors. Subsequently, they will gain an entry into the selection pool of BC PNP.

The candidates must have a full-time job offer that is from an employer residing in the province. Through this, they gain the eligibility for the immigration categories of Canada in the PNP of the province.

The details of minimum score as per the categories:

Minimum Score Required

EEBC – Skilled Worker

EEBC – International Graduate

SI - Skilled Worker

SI – International Graduate

SI - Entry Level and Semi-Skilled

A point worthy of notice is that a BC PNP ITA is dissimilar from the ITA of the federal government.
