Morrison Announced New Immigration Rules:

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has reportedly made potential changes in immigration policies that would see the states given the crucial role in requesting the more skilled immigrants they need each year. The Morrison government has flagged immigrants could be requested to spend complete 5 years in a province or territory those who need permanent residency. Because the states schools, hospitals, and plan roads, immigrants want to say where the government needs country population growth.

Mr. Morrison said on Monday that "This is a minimum common sense, which is: what about provinces who are planning for the growth of population and the government of Commonwealth who sets the immigration levels, literally bring that together?"
The federal government has set up an annual cap for family and skilled immigration – present at 190,000 – with skilled immigrants issued through a variety of visa courses. Prime Minister said the federal government could “always” set the complete cap, but the “top-down” pathway to immigration required to be rethought.

Under this scheme, the states will be requested to enter the federal government every year with a huge number of skilled immigrants. They need to determine that they had sufficient infrastructure to manage the population growth.

Mr Morrison Stated that "if you wish to get permanent residency in this Nation and you're on a temporary visa, you don't have rights to be against with the terms and conditions. If you don't like the policies, you permanent residency candidates go home," he said.

States Already Involved:

Abul Rizvi. The former deputy secretary of the Immigration department expressed the unity between the states and Commonwealth, was an “excellent idea”. But he mentioned several skilled visas like skilled 190 PR visa, are already issued based on nominations from each territory and state.

Mr Rizvi said to SBS News that "The benefit of specific visas had increased to 40% of the skilled stream between 2012 and 2013, but had since reduced to less than 30%. “ It was a huge change in terms of take-up.

If the cities are failing to create adequate infrastructure, the main attention would be on immigration, not only on the permanent steam. Non-permanent visa holders like tourists and international students put more effort into the housing market and transport systems", Rizvi added.

Permanent Immigration in a Decade:

The annual intake of Australia’s permanent immigrants down to its lowest level in 10 years under the Turn-bull government. The Minister of Home Affairs, Peter Dutton stated that more rigorous vetting of skilled and family immigrants had led to the down. The 20,000 drops in skilled visa issues and 8,000 drops in family visas. For this, business groups were shocked and disappointed.

Scott Morrison, The Prime Minister of Australia assigned a new minister for immigration, David Coleman when he changed the cabinet. The shift took migration out of Peter's direct management, but under the Home Affairs hierarchy, Mr. Coleman still reporting to Mr. Dutton.

The Australian government has flagged the latest pathway on. It is also working on a move to direct a number of skilled immigrants to regional Australia.
