NSW Skilled Nomination Visa Program

The recent migration program year started from 1 July 2019, and one of the most sought after state in Australia for the motto of migration, New South Wales has launched new improvements to NSW skilled nomination (subclass 190) visa program for the financial year 2019-2020.

Subclass 190 visa is a PR visa for which one must be selected by an Australian territory OR state government agency.

For New South Wales, candidates for particular occupations will now have to fulfill further requirements like residing and being employed in NSW. NSW has also started a system to show the occupations availability, which will be regularly updated to confirm changes.

Nomination Demand by NSW is especially high. The Government of NSW will continue to select and invite top-ranking applicants who satisfy the NSW nomination requirements in professions on the NSW subclass 190 Priority Skilled Profession List, said in the official website of state government.

Some professions on the NSW subclass 190 Priority Profession List are now subject to more demand for NSW nomination. The further requirement for these professions is staying in NSW and must be employed in NSW for a minimum one year, in the profession which is nominated.

Migration experts say these reforms mean New South Wales has closed doors for aspirants from certain professions who do not reside and work in the state. These changes principally affect engineers, accountants, nurse, and IT professions.

Good news for Cooks, Chefs, and Motor Mechanics

The new NSW subclass 190 Priority Skilled Profession List is good news for cooks, chefs, and motor mechanics, experts say.

These professions have high availability and no additional requirement of having resided and worked in NSW. Experts say the state government’s resolution to start the availability of profession is essential too.

It gives a clear idea that a candidate will need more points to obtain an invitation for those professions which have restricted and low availability experts say.
