The Alberta Province invited another 354 Express Entry applicants to apply for a nomination from the Alberta province in two draws conducted on 31 July and 7 August.

More Information about the Latest AINP Draw

On 31 July, Alberta Announced 319 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to Express Entry applicants with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score 400 or above. The initial draw in August that was conducted on 7 August notably smaller, with 35 NOIs sent out to Express applicants with a CRS score as less as 352.

The NOI’s were announced by the Stream Alberta Express Entry, which permits the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) to explore the Canadian Express Entry system for applicants who meet the stream’s qualification requirements and invite them to appeal for an Alberta provincial nomination for Canada PR.

Since the initial Selection of Alberta Express Entry Stream, which took place recently over a year ago, the A.I.N.P has conducted 27 draws. A grand sum of 5,382 NOIs has been sent to international workers who want to settle in Alberta province, and it is home of cities such as Edmonton and Calgary and attractions like Dinosaur Provincial Park and Banff National Park.

To be counted for a nomination from the province through this stream, as well as several other Express Entry-associated Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs), the initial step is to create a profile in the Express Entry.

There is no requirement of an employment offer or prior work experience in the province of Alberta to be qualified for the Stream Alberta Express Entry. However, appellants should be working in a profession that supports the economic growth of the province and diversification priorities of the province. Alberta doesn't have eligible occupations list.

Candidates need to have an Express Entry CRS score 300 in Canadian Express Entry stream.

The A.I.N.P states it may give preference to applicants with:

  • A job offer in Alberta or work experience in Alberta;
  • An equivalent degree or degree from a post-secondary institute in Canada; or
  • A child, parent, or sibling currently living in the province of Alberta.

The minimum required score 425 points in the AINP draw held on 10 July 2019, was the highest in the past AINP draws. However, it was quite below than the most recent cut-off CRS score for a federal Express Entry draw is 466. The lowest cut-off CRS score in the 14 all-program Canadian Express Entry draw in 2019 was 438.
