433,000 Job Openings in Canada

As per the new report from the Canada Federation Independent Business (C.F.I.B), nearly 433,000 jobs in the Canadian private sector went vacant in the third quarter of the year 2019. With the rate of vacancy remaining pretty much stable at 3.2 percentages, there remains to be a major demand for skilled workers to fulfill the open positions in Canada.

The number of vacant jobs in Canada remains at an all-time high. In the first Quarter of the year 2019, 435,000 jobs in Canada were unfilled, with not much difference for the Third Quarter. The report C.F.I.B had determined that there were approximately 433,000 private-sector jobs that went vacant between 1 July and 30 September, which was also 15,000 higher than the prior year.

Industries that Need More Workers

The Canadian provinces with the biggest private-sector job opening rates were Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia. 

Quebec remained to have the biggest rate of vacancy at 4.0%, accompanied by British Columbia province at 3.8% and Ontario province at 3.2%. The Maritime provinces varied from 1.9 to 3.0%.

Over the preceding year, job openings in skilled professions have seen a notable increase, particularly in the information technology, agriculture, and hospitality sectors. With the current boom in the Canadian tech industry, there remains to be a higher demand for skilled tech professionals to fill positions in the tech-leading cities of Canada, such as Vancouver.

If chosen, applicants will obtain an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canada PR.
