Canada Immigration has attended the latest Express Entry draw, resulting in 3,311 Invitations to Apply (I.T.As) to applicants in the Canadian Experience Class (C.E.C).
The 30 April draw, declared on 1 May 2020 observed the minimum needed Comprehensive Ranking System (C.R.S) score fall to 452 points from 455 points in the former draw of which is Canadian Experience Class-specific.
It results in a 29 April 2020 draw that intended at Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) applicants that marked 589 applicants invited and the minimum required C.R.S score was 692 points.
The recent draw depicts a succession of Refugees, Immigration, and Citizenship Canada’s (I.R.C.C’s) policy of focusing on applicants in the Canadian Experience Class and P.N.P since COVID-19 limitations for travel were put in place on 18 Mar 2020.
Applicants in the two immigration classes are more likely to previously be in Canada than those arriving by other Federal Express Entry-linked programs, suggesting that they will not be influenced by the limitations of travel.
Since 18 Mar 2020, Canada has attended 8 draws in those 4 were targeting P.N.P applicants, and 4 were targeting C.E.C applicants. It has declared 15,620 ITAs, including 2,001 to PNP applicants and 13,619 to C.E.C applicants.
Canada Immigration has now announced 34,300 ITAs so far in 2020, later issuing a sum of 85,300 in 2019. I.R.C.C smashed the record for yearly Express Entry I.T.As in 2018 with 89,800I.T.As.
Canadian skilled immigration target admission for 2020 is 85,800 invitations, up from 81,400 invitations in 2019. Meantime, Canada PR admissions will expect to be influenced by the crisis of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The new draw marked the tie-breaking rule performed on 10 October 2019 at 3.15 pm EST. If higher than one contestant had the same minimum C.R.S score then those applicants who provided their profiles to the Express Entry pool prior to this time stamp obtained invitations.
This was the 13th invitations round below Federal Express Entry in 2020 and 146th invitations round overall.
