Details About Recent Express Entry Draw

The  Canadian Government has announced 3,350 invitations to appeal for Canadian PR to applicants in the Federal Express Entry system in a draw conducted on Feb 20, 2019.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (I.R.C.C) have now announced entirety 14,500 Invitations to Apply (I.T.As) in the year 2019, which remains the most important start to a year since the Express Entry system launch in the year 2015.

The 14,500 I.T.As are an improvement of 70% over the number announced at this same time in the year 2018 — a year that noticed I.R.C.C fixed the present Express Entry I.T.A record of 89,800.

The Federal Express Entry system controls the candidates' pool for Canada’s 03 Federal High Skilled programs of economic immigration

·         Federal Skilled Trades Class

·         Canadian Experience Class

·         Federal Skilled Worker Class

and is intended to facilitate the process of immigration for those applicants invited to apply for Canadian PR.

Invitations are announced under a applicants Comprehensive Ranking System (C.R.S) score, which depends on certain parameters including age, education, work experience in the skilled profession and knowledge in French or English.

The least CRS score in present draw was 457, an improvement of 19 points from the early draw that conducted on Jan 30.

More time within the draws grants further time for the pool of Express Entry to replace with higher-scoring applicants, which can result in growing the cut-off score.

By contrast, the Jan 30 draw was conducted just one week later the early invitation round on Jan 23, meaning lesser applicants had an opportunity to present a profile and resulting in a lower C.R.S minimum score of 438.

I.R.C.C implemented its tie-break rule in the Feb 20 draw. The date and time utilized were Dec 6, 2018, at 12:38 UTC. It means that all applicants with a C.R.S score over 457, as well as those applicants with scores of 457 who accessed their profile in the pool of Express Entry earlier to the selected time and date, obtained an I.T.A in this round of invitation.

Express Entry applicants with a provincial nomination for PR get a further 600 points toward their score of CRS, which ensures an invitation to apply for Canada PR.

Canadian Provinces including British Columbia, Manitoba, and Ontario have announced invitations to appeal for a provincial nomination to applicants in Express Entry through the three-week gap within today’s draw and the prior round of invitation held on Jan 30.
